Chromebooks and e-learning
Happy Thursday Tiger Families!
Out of an abundance of caution, we will be sending home Chromebooks tonight with ALL students in grades K-5. There is a chance of all this rain we got today freezing and causing a 2 hour delay or asynchronous e-learning day tomorrow. If we have another day of e-learning, you all already know what to do. You are becoming pros! IF we have an e-learning day tomorrow and IF we have severe winter weather when we are supposed to return in January, the next type of e-learning will be synchronous learning which is live online learning. Students will be expected to log in and follow an online learning schedule on a Google Meet video call. We just want to be prepared. Again, Chromebooks are being sent home JUST IN CASE. I will keep you as up to date as I can.
Chromebooks are to be kept in backpacks in a safe place. Students should not be on them unless we have an e-learning day. Chromebooks should come back to school the very next day along with chargers. Please help remind your student that Chromebooks are not toys, they are learning tools. They need to use them responsibly. Replacement of lost or broken Chromebooks can be quite costly.
I hope to see everyone tomorrow!
